A number of literacy workshops offered.
Learner support is provided through confidential assessments, individualized learning plans, one to one tutoring and self-paced learning in a computer assisted lab.
Volunteer tutor support provided through training, workshops, tutor support groups, resources and newsletters.
These are small group tutorials for upgrading math or English skills. Participants may enroll at any time, and may access up to 6 hours/week of tutorial assistance. Tutorials are supervised by a qualified tutor who keeps track of attendance, provides assistance to participants, marks completed work and oversees the learning program of each individual. Provides one-to-one tutoring opportunities for adults in the areas of reading,writing, spelling and math.
Provides listening, speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation and vocabulary skills to new immigrants or any Canadian whose first language is not English through classroom instruction and / or one-to-one tutoring.
Confidential assessments and individualized learning plans for those with learning difficulties.
