The power of partnerships

September 21st, 2015

We feel the impact of partnerships on the operation of Parkland College on a daily basis. The work of the College simply cannot be done in isolation. We are indebted to the many partners that help us deliver programming and services to students in all of our campuses.

We are fortunate to have municipal partners who recognize the value that College programming brings to the community and region. Our firefighting program relies on the City of Melville and the local fire department to deliver and develop a program that is building momentum and gaining more attention. The development of the Trades and Technology Centre in Yorkton would not have been possible without the generous contribution of land made by the City of Yorkton.

The local school divisions cooperate with the College in the planning and hosting of our annual Career Explorations education and job fair each November in Yorkton. We also rely on the local school divisions for space to deliver programming and are looking to expand our work further with the continued growth of dual credit programs.

Business and industry are continually providing support to Parkland College through a variety of initiatives. We are very fortunate to have many offers of support in the form of equipment donations, monetary contributions, or in-kind support. I am always impressed by the willingness of local business to support the efforts of Parkland College and our students.

Thanks to all who assist Parkland College on a daily basis. We could not continue without your generous support!
