Manager, Adult Basic Education

Parkland College is currently accepting applications for a Manager, Adult Basic Education at our Yorkton Campus. This permanent, full-time position will begin July 1, 2018.


The Manager, Adult Basic Education oversees all areas of Adult Basic Education programs for Parkland College. This includes providing overall coordination and management of the program area, program planning and evaluation, preparation, implementation, and monitoring of budgets and targets, and supervision of staff.

This position is responsible for the development, implementation and management of college wide instructional standards and the development and delivery of professional development on instructional strategies.


  • Master’s degree in Education. This education would typically provide knowledge in adult education programs development, needs assessment, budgeting, proposal writing and analytical research skills.
  • Five (5) years’ practical, related experience in supervising in a similar working environment and two years’ recent classroom experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with people from equity groups in a cross-cultural setting.
  • Demonstrated experience instructing through technology.
